Crypto Cresties, LLC – Policies and Terms of Service

Welcome to Crypto Cresties! We are dedicated to providing healthy, high-quality crested geckos and merchandise. The well-being of our animals is our highest priority, and our store policies are designed to ensure they transition safely and successfully to their new homes.

By making a purchase or sending any form of payment, you are stating that you have read, understood, and agree to all the terms and conditions outlined below. We reserve the right to refuse a sale to anyone for any reason if we feel it is not in the best interest of the animal. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a gecko from us. If you are younger, your parent or guardian must be the one that completes the purchase and is our point of contact.

1. Payment, Deposits, and Holds

All prices are listed in USD and do not include shipping costs unless otherwise stated.

•Payment Methods: For CryptoCresties.us and Morph Market orders, we accept payments via PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, and Bitcoin*. For purchases made through the Palmstreet app, all transactions must be completed within the platform to ensure buyer and seller protection.

•Payment Plans: We do not offer payment plans through CryptoCresties.us or Morph Market. However, if there is a gecko you would like to purchase and make payments on, you can do so through Palmstreet via Klarna or Afterpay. If you see a gecko on my website or Morph Market that is not listed on Palmstreet and would like to pay with Klarna/Afterpay, we can add the gecko to Palmstreet and you can make the purchase there.

Holds: This is only for sales on CryptoCresties.us and Morph Market. We will not do holds for geckos sold on Palmstreet. To place an animal on hold, we require a 25% non-refundable deposit. The animal will be held for a period of 14 days, during which the remaining balance must be paid in full. Animals are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, and no animal will be placed on hold without a deposit.

•Abandoned Orders: If you fail to maintain contact to make/complete a payment, to arrange shipping, or any other reason contact would need to be maintained to complete the sale, we will attempt to contact you for two weeks through messages, email, text and/or phone calls. If no response is received after 14 days, the animal will be re-listed, and all payment up to that point will be forfeited as compensation for care and lost sales opportunities.

•Payment in full: We will not ship a gecko until payment has been received in full.

**If you pay with Bitcoin, shipping is free! This does not apply to Palmstreet orders, since Palmstreet does not accept Bitcoin transactions. This is only for orders placed from this website or Morph Market. In the case of in person sales, I will either provide a discount on the gecko or throw in something for free. If you see me at an expo, just ask what the current incentive is to purchase with Bitcoin.

2. Order Cancellations & Refunds for Live Animals

ALL LIVE ANIMAL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS. NO EXCEPTIONS.

This policy is an industry standard. Live animal “inventory” requires significant investment in time, care, and resources. We cannot offer refunds if a buyer changes their mind, as this creates logistical challenges and lost opportunities for the animal to find another suitable home.

•Cancellations:

For Morph Market & CryptoCresties.us: If you choose to cancel a live animal order for any reason after payment has been made AND prior to the animal being shipped, we will retain the 25% non-refundable deposit, or if already paid in full, 25% of the price of the gecko. Any additional payments made will be issued as a store credit valid for one year. No cash refunds will be issued under any circumstances. 
For Palmstreet: For live animal orders placed on Palmstreet, approved cancellations are refunded minus a 15% restocking fee; store credit may be offered at seller discretion.
  • If an animal has already been shipped, there are no refunds or returns. As mentioned above, all sales are final.

•DOA or Health Issues: In the rare event of a Dead on Arrival (DOA) or a valid health guarantee claim, a replacement animal or store credit will be provided as outlined in the section 5 below.

3. Shipping Policy (Live Animals)

Your animal’s safety is our top priority. For the well-being of our geckos, all live animal shipments are for FedEx Ship Center hub pickup ONLY. This is the safest option as it minimizes transit time and protects the animals from extreme temperatures and handling delays associated with home delivery. We ship via FedEx Priority Overnight on Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only, weather permitting, to ensure the package is not delayed over a weekend.

  • Mandatory Hub Pickup: All live animal orders MUST be picked up at a FedEx Ship Center hub. We will work with you to find the most convenient and appropriate hub location. You will be provided with the hub address and pickup instructions if you do not already have a preferred hub.
  • Shipping Temperatures: We guarantee safe shipping only when temperatures at the origin and the designated FedEx hub and any transit hubs are between 40°F and 85°F. We will hold your animal at no additional cost until a safe shipping window is available. *Note: Heat packs cease to function when temperatures hit freezing, therefore there is no truly safe way to ship animals when temperatures hit freezing or below. All live animals are shipped in approved live animal insulated shipping boxes and every single box include a cryo pak. Heat packs or ice packs may be included based on weather conditions.
  • Carrier loss or delays: It is important to acknowledge that we bear no responsibility for delays or loss incurred during transportation by the carrier. No reimbursement or credit shall be extended in circumstances wherein a carrier-related error leads to the loss or impairment of a package resulting in the death upon arrival (DoA) of the gecko. Once the gecko leaves our hands, we have no control over what happens in transit. If you would like to purchase additional insurance for your package from FedEx, please let us know.
  • Buyer Availability: You or a designated adult must be present to pick up the package from the FedEx hub on the day of arrival. An ID has to be presented to pick up the package – the name on the ID must match the name on the shipping label. Animals must be collected within the hub’s specified pickup window (typically within 1-2 hours of opening). Failure to pick up the animal on the day of arrival will void all guarantees and may result in the shipment being returned to the seller with no refund issued.
  • In-Person Pick-up: The option for in-person pick-up is possible within designated regions of Atlanta and surrounding areas.

4. Merchandise Policy (T-shirts, Mugs, Food, etc.)

We are excited to offer Crypto Cresties branded merchandise! In addition, we also sell Repashy Food Items in our shop now. Please note the following policies for all non-live items:

  • Delivery Timeline: Merchandise orders typically take 5 to 21 business days for delivery. Please allow for processing and transit time.
  • Separate Shipping: Clothing, mugs, etc are made to order by a third party service. Some items may ship from different locations and will not ship together. You may receive multiple packages for a single order. *Repashy products and Crypto Cresties Critter Meal will ship from our location in GA and can be shipped together.
  • Reporting Issues: Any issues with merchandise (damaged or missing items) must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photo evidence.
  • Returns: Merchandise returns are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly for any issues with your order. Any opened food items are not accepted for returns and are not eligible for a refund.

5. Live Arrival & Health Guarantee

Live Arrival Guarantee

We guarantee your animal will arrive alive and healthy. For this guarantee to be valid, you MUST adhere to the following:

  • Notification: You must notify us of the animal’s successful pickup from the FedEx hub via email, text, or Palmstreet message within one (1) hour of pickup (as determined by the FedEx timestamp). You also must pick up the animal on the day it was delivered to your FedEx hub. Leaving a gecko overnight at the hub raises risks and further stresses the animal.
  • DOA Reporting: In the extremely unlikely event of a Dead on Arrival (DOA), you must provide us with clear photographic and video evidence within two (2) hours of delivery. For Palmstreet orders, issues must be reported within 4 hours of delivery to comply with platform standards.
If a DOA is confirmed and all conditions are met, we will offer a comparable replacement animal (if available) or a store credit for the full value of the animal. Shipping costs are non-refundable, but if we provide a replacement animal, we will cover the costs of shipping for the replacement animal. 

7-Day Health Guarantee

Your new gecko is guaranteed to be 100% healthy for a full seven days after arrival. We cannot be responsible for the animal’s health after this period due to the inability to control its new environment and husbandry.

  • Health Concerns: If you have any health concerns, you must contact us within 24 hours of observing the issue. Failure to do so will void the guarantee.
  • Exclusions: This guarantee does not cover issues resulting from improper husbandry, dehydration, overheating, accidents (e.g., cat attacks, falls), tail loss, or choking.

CRITICAL WARNING: OVERHEATING IS FATAL

NEVER expose a crested gecko to temperatures above 85°F. They can handle temps up to 80°F but not for long periods of time. The ideal temperature range for crested geckos is between ~68°F to ~76°F If your gecko arrives cold, place it in a room-temperature environment and allow it to warm up slowly. DO NOT use heat lamps or any external heat source to warm them up (or ever). This is often fatal. A cool gecko will be slow and lethargic; this is normal.

6. Sex, Color, and Tail Policy

  • Sex: Geckos sold as definitively “Male” or “Female” are guaranteed to be that sex. Any gecko sold as “Unsexed,” “Probable,” or “Possible” is not guaranteed. We cannot guarantee the gender of the gecko unless their weight surpasses 30 grams. All hatchlings and juvenile geckos are subjected to preliminary gender identification to the best of our capabilities.
  • Color: We provide photos that represent our animals as accurately as possible in their “fired up” state. We do not edit colors. However, color can vary with the animal’s mood, environment, and age. Also, color varies based on what screen you are using to view the gecko (iphone vs android vs computer). In addition, certain apps like Palmstreet do not completely display the color accurately. We do not guarantee color.
  • Tail Loss: Crested geckos can drop their tails for various reasons, including stress during shipping or for no apparent reason at all. This is a natural defense mechanism and does not harm the animal or affect its breeding capability. Also geckos might sometimes lose/drop their tail or a tip of their tail as a result of skin shedding that tightens around the tail. We, of course, monitor sheds and offer assistance to the best of our ability if we notice an issue. Sometimes a baby can also have a tail nip by a clutch mate. In addition, geckos can drop a tail for no perceived reason at all at ANY age. Nonetheless, this occurrence doesn’t negatively impact the gecko’s overall health or its ability to reproduce. As a result, no compensation will be provided in cases of tail loss or where tail pinching occurs due to skin shedding. Vigilant measures are taken to ensure that all hatchlings successfully and fully shed their skin. However, it’s worth mentioning that occasional incidents of subtle skin entrapment may still occur. We will point out if a tail is nipped. A tail drop from the time of purchase until you receive the gecko is possible and out of human control. Crested geckos do not re-grow their tails like other lizard species. A crested gecko without a tail will forever after be a “frog butt.”

7. Buyer Responsibilities

We expect that you have thoroughly researched the care and husbandry of crested geckos before making a purchase. By purchasing an animal from us, you are agreeing that you are prepared to provide a suitable environment, diet, and care for the lifetime of the gecko. We are always here to answer questions, but the ultimate responsibility for the animal’s well-being rests with you, the new owner. You must be at least 18 year old to purchase a gecko from us.
